BIS Recruitment: BIS schedule to hire Junior Translator, Scientist for 2022. The job location is New Delhi. The selection process, recruitment process for BIS Off campus drive 2022 are provided below.

The Bureau of Indian Standards is the National Standards Body of India under Department of Consumer affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India. It is established by the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 which came into effect on 12 October 2017.

Qualification: Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma

Job Role: Junior Translator

Salary: Rs.35,400-1,12,400/ month

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Junior Translator (Hindi) :

  • Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a subject at the Degree level; Or
  • Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a subject at the Degree level; or
  • Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Degree of a recognized University in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at the Degree level; Or
  • Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Degree of a recognized University in any subject with English/Hindi medium and Hindi/English as subjects at the Degree level;
  • Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa; or Two years’ experience of terminological work in Hindi or translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa preferably of technical or scientific literature.

Age Limit :

  • The maximum age limit for the post of Junior Translator should be 27 years.

Salary: 

  • The salary for the post of Junior Translator is Rs.35,400-1,12,400/ month

BIS Recruitment 2022 Selection Process :

  • The selection process for the post of Junior Translator will be based on Written Exam and Practical Skill Test for Translator
  • The written exam consists of 2 papers with a total duration 120 minutes and a total of 150 marks
  • The candidates will be required to secure atleast 50 % marks in aggregate out of total maximum marks in written exam, to be considered for next selection process.
  • PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS: There will be deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the on-line examination.
  • The Skill Test shall be practical translation from English to Hindi or vice versa on General Hindi & Vocabulary

Application Fees : 

  • The application fees for the post of Junior Translator is Rs.500
  • Candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC [Non-Creamy layer] category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee by Demand Draft in favour of Bureau of Indian Standards, payable at New Delhi. Demand Draft must be valid for minimum of three months.
  • Candidate’s name, Father’s name, Telephone No. must be mentioned on reverse of Demand Draft.

NOTE : No fees would be required to be paid by SC/ST/PWD/Women & BIS Departmental candidates.
