FACT Recruitment: FACT schedule to hire Engineer/Site Supervisor for 2022. The job location is Travancore. The selection process, recruitment process for FACT Off campus drive 2022 are provided below.

The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited is a chemical and fertiliser manufacturing company. Its headquarter is located at Kochi, Kerala, India. FACT has two production units they are Udyogamandal, and Cochin Division (CD)at Ambalamedu and Udyogamandal Complex (UC) at Eloor. The main production of this company is Sulphuric Acid, Ammonia, Ammonium Sulphate, Gypsum, Caprolactam, Soda Ash, Nitric acid and coloured Ammonium Sulphate.

Job Role: Senior Manager Design/Deputy Manager Design/Engineer/Resident Construction Manager/Site Supervisor

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/Diploma

Salary: Rs.23,200 – 75000/-

Educational Qualification:

Senior Manager Design (Process) :

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Petrochemical Technology / Petroleum Refining & Petrochemical Engineering / Polymer Technology with 10 years post qualification experience in process design, basic & detailed engineering and vendor data review involving preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, process specifications of Equipment (such as Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Rotary Machines, Storage Tanks etc.,) & Instruments for Fertiliser, Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Ammonia / Cryogenic Storage projects. The candidate should be proficient in design codes & standards. Experience in using process simulation software such as ASPEN PLUS, HYSYS, ASPEN EDR, Design II is desirable.

Senior Manager Design (Mechanical – MMH):

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years post qualification experience in a design consultancy / EPCs, in the basic design of machinery and material handling equipment such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, bucket elevators etc. The candidate should be proficient in finalisation of procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and also review of vendor documents/ drawings.

Senior Manager Design (Mechanical – PCE):

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years post qualification experience in a design consultancy / EPCs, in the design of static equipment such as Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Heat Exchangers, etc. Experience in using ASME Sec. VIII, Div. 1&2, API 650 / API 620, TEMA codes & standards are desirable. The candidate should be proficient in finalisation of procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and also review of vendor documents/ drawings.

Senior Manager Design (Electrical):

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Instrumentation with 10 years post qualification experience in design consultancy / EPCs in the design of HV power distribution system including sizing calculations of transformers, DG sets, cables, capacitor banks etc. The candidate should be proficient in finalisation of procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and also review of vendor documents/ drawings.

Senior Manager Design (Instrumentation):

  • Degree in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with 10 years post qualification experience in the design of control system, field instrumentation, interlock system etc. The candidate should be proficient in finalization of Procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and also review of vendor documents/ drawings.

Senior Manager Design (Civil):

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with 10 years post qualification experience in design of Industrial and Process / Plant structures. Post-graduation in Structural Design is desirable. The candidate should be proficient in structural analysis & design of industrial structures using STAAD or ETABS and Indian Design Codes.

Deputy Manager Design (Process):

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Petrochemical Technology / Petroleum Refining & Petrochemical Engineering / Polymer Technology with 5 years post qualification experience in process design, basic & detailed engineering involving preparation of PFDs, P & IDs, process specifications of equipment (such as Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Rotary Machines Storage Tanks etc.,) & instruments for Fertiliser, Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Ammonia / Cryogenic Storage projects with sufficient knowledge of design codes & standards. Proficiency in process simulation software such as ASPEN PLUS, HYSYS, ASPEN EDR, Design II is desirable.

Deputy Manager Design (Mechanical – Piping):

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years post qualification experience in design of piping system. Experience in the use of ASME code, B 31.3 (Process Piping) is desirable. The candidate should be proficient in finalisation of plot plan, planning drawing, preparing PMS & VMS, procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and also review of vendor documents/ drawings.

Deputy Manager Design (Mechanical -MMH):

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years post qualification experience in a design consultancy / EPCs, in the basic design of Machinery and Material Handling equipment such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, bucket elevators etc. The candidate should be proficient in finalisation of procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and also review of vendor documents/ drawings.

Engineer Design (Electrical):

  • Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 1 year post qualification experience in designing power distribution system and basic knowledge in drawing SLD, power and earthing layout in AUTO CAD.

Engineer Design (Instrumentation):

  • Degree in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with 1 year post qualification experience in the design of Control system, field instrumentation, interlock system etc. The candidate should have knowledge in preparation of procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and working knowledge in the design of hook-up/layout drawings in AutoCAD.

Engineer (Mechanical):

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 1 year post qualification experience in construction projects. ASNT NDT certification is desirable.

Engineer (Electrical):

  • Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 1 year post qualification experience in construction projects.

Engineer (Instrumentation):

  • Degree in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 1 year post qualification experience in construction projects.

Engineer (Civil):

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 1 year post qualification experience in construction projects.

Resident Construction Manager:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 5 years post qualification experience in construction projects.

Site Supervisor (Mechanical):

  • Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years post qualification experience in construction projects.

Site Supervisor (Civil):

  • Three year Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 5 years post qualification experience in construction projects.

Upper Age Limit: 

  • Senior Manager Design /Deputy Manager Design – 65 years
  • Engineer Design – 35 years
  • Engineer / Site Supervisor – 35 years
  • Resident Construction Manager – 45 years

Age Relaxable up to:

  • 5 years for SC/ST candidates
  • 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates

Salary Details:

  • Senior Manager Design – Rs. 60000 – 75000/-
  • Deputy Manager Design– Rs. 40000 – 50000/-
  • Engineer– Rs. 25750 – 30000/-
  • Resident Construction Manager– Rs. 35000 – 45000/-
  • Site Supervisor– Rs. 23200 – 27000/-
