Goa Registration Department Recruitment: The Registration Department with its Office of the State Registrar-cum-Head of Notary Services at Panaji, two offices of the District Registrars of North Goa and South Goa and twelve offices of Civil Registrars-cum-Sub Registrars one each in each Taluka basically deals with recording and preserving evidentiary matters relating to contracts, status, testamentary dispositions, etc., of individual citizens, like Property transactions, Firms, Wills, Succession deeds and other types of Documents. Also Societies, Marriage corrections, Appointment of Notaries Marriages, Adoptions, Documents relating to contractual obligations, Issue of Birth & Death Certificates after the implementation of Births & Death Act, 1969, Issue of Marriage Certificates, Land Registration Record copies and similar. The Departmental work deals principally with the formal aspects of the transactions and creates or registers records with the special duty to permanently preserve the same for making authentic certified copies there from in future.

Educational Qualification:

Lower Division Clerk (LDC):

  • Possessing Higher Secondary School Certificate or All India Council for Technical Education approved Diploma awarded by a recognized State Board of Technical
  • Education or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. Knowledge of Computer Applications/ Operations with Typing Speed of 30 words per minute in English. Knowledge of Konkani

Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):

  • Possessing Secondary School Certificate Examination from a recognized Institution/ Board. OR Passed Course conducted by Industrial Training Institute or equivalent qualification in relevant trade from a recognized Board/ Institution.

Age Limit:

  • For General – 45 years

Upper age is relexable by:

  • Government Servants – 5 years
  • ST/SC/Children of Freedom Fighter/Sportsperson – 5 years
  • OBC – 3 years
  • Person with Disabilities -10 years

Goa Registration Department Recruitment Selection Process:

  • The candidate will have to undergo Skill/written test (examination), as applicable. The syllabus for the Examination will cover : Knowledge of Computer operations – 20 marks (ii) General Knowledge –
    20 marks (iii) Reasoning ability – 20 marks.
  • For L.D.Cs post in addition to above the syllabus will cover: History and Politics of State of Goa – 20 marks and Letter Writing/office procedure- 10 marks, Mathematical and analytical knowledge- 10 marks.
  • The date, time and venue of the written examination will be informed to the eligible candidates via Email or SMS. The candidate shall carry a copy of hall ticket for the examination.
  • The total marks of written examination shall be 100 and duration of examination shall be two hours. Selection of the candidates shall be determined in accordance with the marks obtained by each candidate in written examination as per merit
