JKSSB-Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board is a service recruiting board constituted by the government of Jammu and Kashmir. This Selection board will conduct an examination for the various departmental service posts and select the candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The main of this board is to create the syllabus and conduct the selection examination for the candidates.

Educational Qualification:
Junior Scale Stenographer :
- Graduation from ant recognized University with a minimum speed 65 and 35 words per minute in shorthand and type-writing respectively.
Driver :
- Middle/ Matric with valid hill driving license issued by the Licensing Authority of JK Government.
Junior Assistant :
- Graduation from any recognized University with knowledge of typewriting not less than 35 words speed per minute.
Assistant Superintendent Jails :
- Graduation from recognized University and Post graduate diploma in Social work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology.
Assistant Scientific Officer (Narcotics, Chemistry & Toxicology) :
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry/ Bio Chemistry/ Pharmacology/ Forensic Science with minimum 50% marks from any University recognized by UGC.
Assistant Scientific Officer (DNA, Biology/ Serology) :
- Master’s Degree in Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life science/ Genetics/ Molecular Biology/ Forensic science with minimum 50% marks from any University recognized by UGC.
Assistant Scientific Officer (Physics) :
- Master’s Degree in Physics/ Bio-Physics/ Applied Physics/ Electronics/ Forensic science with minimum 50% marks from any University recognized by UGC.
Assistant Scientific Officer (Ballistics) :
- Master’s Degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Forensic science with minimum 50% marks from any University recognized by UGC.
Assistant Scientific Officer (Documents) :
- Master’s Degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Forensic science with minimum 50% marks from any University recognized by UGC.
Assistant Scientific Officer (Cyber Forensics) :
- Master’s Degree in Physics/ Electronics/ IT/ Computer Science/ Forensic science with minimum 50% marks from any University recognized by UGC.
Tractor Driver :
- Middle and having Tractor driving license issued by the Licensing Authority of JK Government.
Re-toucher Artist :
- Matric with certificate of Apprenticeship in the trade from a press of repute (Apprenticeship in the trade of process cameraman from a printing press registered under Industries Department).

JKSSB Recruitment 2022 Selection Process :
- The selection will be based on Written Examination and/ or skill test.
- The Written Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
- The questions will be set in English only.
Junior Scale Stenographer :
- Skill test – 40 points
- Written Examination/ CBT – 60 points
Driver/ Tractor Driver :
- The selection will be based on the merit obtained in the written examination only.
- The candidate shall have to qualify driving test to be eligible to appear for written examination.
Junior Assistant :
- Skill test – 20 points
- Written Examination/ CBT – 80 points
Assistant Superintendent Jails :
- The candidate shall have to qualify Physical Standard Test.
- The selection will be based on the merit obtained in the written examination only.
Assistant Scientific Officer/ Re-toucher Artist :
- The selection will be based on the merit obtained in the written examination only.
