About NRCB: ICAR-National Research Centre for Banana was established on 21st August 1993 at Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu by ICAR, New Delhi with an aim to increase the production and productivity of banana and plantains through mission mode basic and strategic research approaches. The Centre works on four major thrust areas of research viz., Crop Improvement, Crop Production, Post Harvest Management and Crop Protection. Educational Qualification:
Research Assistant:
- First class in M.Sc. (Biochemistry / Chemistry / any other field of Science) with at least 3 years experience in the research field and proficiency in operation of GC-MS, analysis of samples and report generation. OR
- First class in M.Sc. (Bioinformatics) with 3 years of related field experience. OR First class in M.Sc. (Mass Media / Visual Communication / Media Science / Mass Communication / Farm Journalism) with respective / related field experience for 3 years
Senior Project Assistant:
- First class in M.Sc. (Agricultural Entomology) with at least 3 years research experience OR First class in M.Sc. (Biochemistry) at least 2 years research experience OR First class in M.Sc. (Biochemistry) at least 2 years research experience OR
- First class in M.Sc. (Biotechnology) with at least 2 years research experience OR First class in M.Sc. Agricultural (Plant Pathology / Biotechnology / Microbiology) or M.Sc. (Microbiology / Botany / Plant Science / Bioscience) with research work in Plant Pathology or Microbiology or biotechnology with at least 2 years research experience OR First class in M.Sc. (Biotechnology / Bio-informatics) with at least 2 years research experience.
Junior Project Assistant:
- First class in B.Sc. (Agriculture Horticulture) OR First class in B.Sc. (Agriculture Horticulture / Chemistry) OR First class in B.Sc. in Biological Sciences (Agriculture / Horticulture / Botany as a subject) OR First class in B.Sc. (Agriculture Horticulture) OR First class in B.E. / B.Tech. (ECE) OR First class in Bachelor’s degree (Computer Applications / Computer Science / Information Technology) or any equivalent degree
Age Limit:
