The Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR), Bhubaneswar is a permanent research center of Indian Council of Medical Research. The foundation stone of the center was laid by the then prime minister of India Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi on 29th March 1981.Initially the Center started in a small rental accommodation in 1982 and shifted to the Centre’s own building in year 1990 after completion. The campus of RMRC is located in 20 acres of picturesque landscape in Chandrasekharpur and has its own laboratory –cum- administrative building, animal house, auditorium, guest house & research scholars’ hostel and staff quarters.

Job Role: Research Associate/SRF/Research Assistant /Junior Medical Officer/Health Assistant
Qualification: Any Degree/Diploma/HSC
Salary: Rs.17,000 – 47,000/-

Educational Qualification:
Research Associate:
- PhD/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. OR Three years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.VSc. /MPH with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Senior Research Fellow:
- M.Sc. (Life Sciences), MA (Social Sciences), Master in Social Work (MSW) degree holders with two years research experience. OR MBBS/BDS/M.V.Sc/M. Pharma/MPH degree holders.
Research Assistant:
- Graduate in science/ relevant subjects/ from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution. OR Master’s degree in the relevant subject.
Lab Technician:
- 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or PMW or radiology/radiography or related subject) or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/ laboratory experience or animal house keeping in Government recognized organization.
Junior Nursing staff:
- High School or equivalent with science subjects plus certificate course in ANM with five years experience from a recognized institute/ board.
Junior Medical Officer:
- MBBS degree from a recognized University.
Health Assistant, Technician/ Field Assistant:
- High School or equivalent with five years experience in related field from a Government institution or recognized institute. OR Certificate of one year training in the relevant area or ITI or National Trade certificate of National Council for Vocational Training and successful completion of ATS in relevant trade from a Government recognized board.
Lab Technician/ X-ray Technician:
- 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or PMW or radiology/radiography or related subject) or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/ laboratory experience or animal house keeping in Government recognized organization.
