WII Recruitment: WII schedule to hire Project Scientist/Senior Project Associate/Project Associate 2021. If you have Doctoral Degree/PG/M.Sc as your qualification, you may apply for the post. The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India, was established in 1982.The institute is based in Dehradun, India. It is located in Chandrabani, which is close to the southern forests of Dehradun. WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Ecodevelopment, Ecotoxicology, Habitat Ecology and Climate Change.

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Project Scientist-I:

  • Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science /Ecology/ Forestry/ Biodiversity Conservation.

Senior Project Associate:

  • Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Science /Ecology/ Forestry/ Biodiversity Conservation/ Environmental Sociology/ Remote Sensing / GIS and at least four years of field research experience OR Ph.D in the above subjects.

Project Associate– II:

  • M.Sc in Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity Conservation/ RS and GIS with minimum 60% aggregate. Two years field research experience (proof to be submitted along with application).

Project Associate– I:

  • M.Sc in Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Forestry/Botany/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity Conservation with 60% aggregate. Six months field research experience (proof to be submitted along with application)

Upper Age Limit :

  • Project Scientist – 35 years
  • Senior Project Associate – 40 years
  • Project Associate – 30 years

Total Vacancies:

Salary: 

  • Project Scientist – Rs 56,000/-
  • Senior Project Associate – Rs 42,000/-

  • Project Associate-I – Rs 31,000/-
WII Recruitment Selection Process:
  • The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. All original documents should be produced at the time of interview.
  • The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work experience, acceptance or rejection of application will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be notified (through email and website notification) for online personal interview by 30th April 2021. The online interview will be held on 3rd& 4th May 2021 from 1000 hrs onwards.
